Atomic Force Microscopy Advanced modes and applications in nanotechnology and materials science.

Park Systems invites you to attend a talk with speaker Gabriela Mendoza, PhD,
Applications Scientist at Park Systems:

Tuesday, August 20, 2019
Hour: 12:30 - 13:45
Palenque Room, JW Marriot Cancun, Q.R.

The invention, creation of AFM, operating principle. Also the innovative technologies, operating modes, optimization parameters and application in diverse fields will be covered.

Characterizing electrical, magnetic, mechanical, and morphological properties of materials are possible with the dedicated operating modes available with Park AFM. With this versatility, our customers can upscale their research capabilities and continue kindling the spirit of innovation and progress brought about by breakthrough nanoscale investigations.

The voids (black features) are the washed PMMA which formed onecylinder.
The scan size is (a) 2 µm and (b) 0.5 µm, respectively.
The holes are 20 nm (± 2nm) in diameter,
and are around 40 nm (±1 nm) from one another.

Gabriela Mendoza is an applications scien- tist at Park Systems with a PhD. For her PhD thesis, she developed a biosensor using AFM to detect probiotic bacteria in dynamic mode using fluid cell. From 2015 to 2018 she worked as a full time profes- sor at UAEM (Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos). Gabriela has a posdoc in materials science (CINVESTAV), a Mas- ters degree in Science in Bioprocess (IPN) and an engineering degree in Food Science (UAM).
