With the innovation in science and technology, various methods for measuring and analyzing materials and surfaces in nanoscience have advanced. In particular, the emergence of Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) has increasingly highlighted its importance as a fundamental technology for surface measurement and analysis at the nanoscale. The Nanoscience Symposium is an SPM user symposium that shares and exchanges cutting-edge research in the fields of materials science, semiconductors, and life sciences using SPM. At NSSJ 2024, we will focus on the broad applications and technologies of SPM that are transforming science, and we are honored to invite prominent young researchers from both Japan and abroad to present their work.
