GdFe single-layer thin film exhibits field-dependent magnetic domain structures, providing a model system for observing magnetic phase evolution under an out-of-plane magnetic field.
Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM) with Magnetic Field Generator (MFG) directly visualizes this evolution in real space, showing a transition from labyrinth domains to mixed stripe/circular phases and finally to randomly distributed skyrmions as the field increases from 0 to 1600 Gauss.
