Atomic force microscope (AFM) is an indispensable tool to map the nanoscale properties of a material and one expects its operations to be user friendly. However, one of the reasons why AFMs require an experienced user is that most conventional AFMs require complicated operation to acquire images where the software of conventional AFM’s are difficult in terms of set up and operation. Considerable amount of human resource and time is required for such AFM operation.
